northern rail debt recovery prosecutions

I have recently got a letter from the debt recovery and prosecutions unit asking for details of why i did not buy a fare. I juat want to ask anyone who this has happenned to before, how long does it take for them to get back to you after i reply to it. NOTHING ELSE
