Overrunning engineering between Haltwhistle and Hexham today?

Anyone know what happened here? Was passing through Carlisle on a work trip to West Cumbria and saw trains were only running to Haltwhistle, where buses were then running to Hexham. Must've been some major failure as looking at Twitter, buses were still in operation a couple of hours ago...
