Exeter SD > Pitlochry sleeper + bikes

Hi, this seems complicated to me but I'm sure you won't think so! Appreciate any help. A friend and I are travelling to Scotland next May for the Etape Caledonia. We'd like to take a sleeper (Fri 9/5 out, Mon 12/5 back), and travel with our bikes. Couple of questions - what's the best way...
