    Pupils taking mobile phones to school.

    mods note - split from here. At the school at which I am a governor there is a long-standing rule which prohibits year 7-11 students bringing a mobile phone into school, which is very strictly enforced, and is very well supported by parents. So zip cards are definitely a necessity.
