I'm off to Manchester, then Wigan tomorrow to do some spotting/photographing. I will be travelling from Manchester Piccadilly/Victoria to Wigan Wallgate and back. I really want to get a Class 150 either on the way there or back, has anyone have any Class 150 diagrams for this line
On Friday, I plan to have a train day out at Bristol Temple Meads. I'm looking for the cheapest way to travel between the two stations last time I went from SGB to WOF, and WOF to BRI on two separate tickets for around £14 (with a railcard), I just wanted to know if there was a cheaper way
So I want a train day out today, but I want to go to both Derby and Stoke on Trent, would I be able to get a ticket from Birmingham New Street to Stoke on Trent and travel via Derby?

My next destination is Shrewsbury, I want to try and get some more Arriva units, more specifically sprinter units.
Hi everyone. I've come a very long way since I decided to begin becoming a railway photographer, I have nearly completed sets of trains, anyway, I was just wondering where the best places would be to find the following trains:-
London Midland:
153
170
172
323
350
Arriva Trains Wales:
158
I just recently started talking photos and videos of trains:

I am relatively happy with the quality of my pictures, lighting, angle, position.
But because I am new to this I think I have a lot to learn, does anyone have any tips for a beginner?
What are the busiest routes at your local train stations? If they are long distance services they are probably the busiest. My local station is Galton bridge, so the busiest service is probably the snow hill line
I'm looking for some good places to do some trainspotting in the west midlands, can anyone list any? I'm looking for places to see commuter trains mainly
