Towards the end of 'Ride the Lights event ' a serious accident has occurred between Dutton Arms and South Pier. Promenade cordoned off, lots of Police cars & vans, Fire Engine etc. Power is now off.

My son was sold a single ticket on train. Penryn - Blackpool North. Around £60 with YP railcard discount. (good price) The ticket is anytime. But says via Hereford.
I assume this means he has to travel via Hereford.
Now left Truro on 10.43 Train.
I assume change at Plymouth, Bristol...
Has the possibility of reinstating a commuter rail service from Fleetwood via Poulton to Preston drifted even further away?

The road bridge on Tithebarn Street between Poulton and Carleton is set to be demolished and rebuilt from next summer as part of plans to electrify the railway between Preston and Blackpool.
Network Rail have confirmed the programme of work is set to go ahead but do not yet have a start date...
