GWR Pre-Court Settlement Email/Letter over 2 years later

It is fairly likely that GWR will persue the matter via the civil courts. These do not have the same 6 month restriction, but their claim would (should) be limited to only the difference between the ticket you did buy and the one which was valid for the journey. It's extremely unlikely that you...

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

It's on the list of things we would like to do, and something that we have tested, but still requires further work before considering rolling it out generally.

You can add more than one journey to a basket, and check them out together.

    Annual gold card

Staff should have issued you with a "Gold Record Card" with the Smartcard. A gold card can be added to discount journeys made with Oyster, but it does not entitle you to free travel on the Underground. On a tangent, smartcards can be used on Underground, and you can load Travelcards onto...

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

There is ongoing work to support the idea of "favourite journeys", which you can quickly and easily rebook.

    Uber App - Deselect Railcard

Google's changes in Android 15 to how apps draw behind the edges of phone screens strike again. You'd think a multi-million dollar multinational like Uber would be able to test their apps, though. They've had a whole year to fix stuff like this, on top of the time well before then when it...

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

It seems to be an issue with both a blanket additional interchange time, and using "Arrive before". Removing either of these returns results as expected. We'll do some investigation and raise it to our supplier. It won't be possible to reproduce on FastJP directly as it (a) doesn't have...

Trainline Ads For Cheap Day Tickets ‘Misleading’…

Trainline's statement that this was the case is sufficient enough for me.

Trainline Ads For Cheap Day Tickets ‘Misleading’…

But it obviously does happen, or Trainline never would have refunded people who did find cheaper tickets elsewhere.

Right to be re-routed - West of England line changes

There's no entitlement to this type of excess, but staff (and their accompanying TIS) are usually able to do it if they feel so inclined to do so.

    Avanti Standard Premium vs First

Similarly, I have used 1st class Interrail in SP without issue (and in Standard too). I even went back to the first galley, showed my ticket, asked nicely, and got some snacks and drinks cans to take back to my seat.

    Avanti Standard Premium vs First

I will add that, if your staff are proactive, they can and will serve food and drink even prior to the departure from the origin. I've managed to get a full meal and two hot and cold drinks runs in between Birmingham New Street and International this way. Always depends on the Crew(e) though.

    RealTimeTrains website

My personal take is that obviously Tom is free to make whatever changes he would like to RTT. But removing access to these features and telling people they need to pay before they are literally able to pay is a strange choice to make, and just annoys people who would have otherwise happily paid...

Offered Possible Invalid Ticket for Itinerary

Noone fixed this before today, and it is now causing problems for passengers as we all expected.

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

The industry data only has a transfer fixed link between the locations, and there's no logic set up to detect if your ticket is to Central Zone or includes travel on the tram to override that messaging.

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

The vast majority of customers prefer to see all the options available to them, rather than let the system arbitrarily pick up to 16 return combinations based on factors that aren't particularly clear to anyone except the website developers. Worst of all, you'll often miss entire routes because...

LNER "Compulsory Reservations" Preventing Sale of Super Off Peak Ticket

I do not care to discuss and feed into rants about compulsory reservations. The forum has them every week, and complaining here isn't going to change anything. I am simply explaining what one cause of the direct service showing as sold out was, that one person ran into when performing a...

LNER "Compulsory Reservations" Preventing Sale of Super Off Peak Ticket

I'm just saying the specific example which was discussed was not, on this occasion, caused by a lack of availability on the service. Checking for tomorrow, the train is legitimately "sold out" (minus some select unreserveable seats, priority seats and wheelchair spaces). There are no through...
