Fantasy: You can create your own Multiple Unit/Multiple Unit Family.

Continuous variable transmission..? Is that mechanical and electric? Does the class 195 and class 172 use the same or is this something different?

Fantasy: You can create your own Multiple Unit/Multiple Unit Family.

Electro-Mechanical transmission is basically Mechanical transmission but it includes Diesel-Electric traits, such as Electricity powering the Mechanical gears. It's just something I came up with I think I just calculated them by guessing how fast the acceleration rate was by looking on...

Fantasy: You can create your own Multiple Unit/Multiple Unit Family.

I'll do my example: Train class/family name: Class 775 BMMU Family: Genatis (My own family of trains) Replacing: Class 185 Number Built: 30 Number of carriages: 6/3 Operator(s) : TransPennine Express/CrossCountry Door Formation: ⅓-⅔ Maximum Speed: 110 Mph Traction System: EcoMove110 (My own...

Fantasy: You can create your own Multiple Unit/Multiple Unit Family.

If you created any MU/MU family, what would you make? No, literally. If you had the power to manufacture any type of Multiple Unit or Family, what would you come up with? Here's the default template: Train class/family name: Replacing: Number Built: Number of carriages: Capacity: Operator(s) ...

Fantasy: you can modify any train design or livery in any way you would like.

I was also thinking about doing the same de-spacing (if that's a word) with standard class. What do you think?

Add more padding to new trains. Not just the seats but other things like the walls (If that's possible!). And probably make First Class interiors on recent regional trains less spacious because in my view's they look a bit too spacious!

I think the front look's like that to make it more aerodynamic. And Northern could have used the front from the concept images but that front in my opinion look's a bit plain.

My vision for (kind of Merseyside centric) new services/stations across the UK.

Speaking of HS2, I have a feeling that it might not happen. I don't know why, I guess it's just a feeling in me...

    Possible use for Class 350/2s

It probably won't happen since class 350/2 carriages are slightly shorter in length, but if you put the pantograph carriage on them it would probably make Bi-modes.

Underground platform's then? (one level lower than the current platforms)

Some point's I forgot to mention: 1. The Glasgow/Liverpool/Manchester Victoria to Brighton/Penzance service is 1tp2h (1 train per 2 hours) on each of the 6 individual service patterns, which makes 3tph (3 trains per hour) between Birmingham and Weaver Junction. 2. On the Glasgow/Edinburgh to...

The idea for introducing class 80x unit's sound great! But for me, I'd personally go for the Liverpool to Penzance and Brighton route, but the Liverpool to Poole service has some goodness in it. Maybe an extension to Weymouth?

I know this is sudden in this ''What unit should be used on new CrossCountry services'' talk, but I made a map for some new CrossCountry service ideas. I'm sorry if it's a bit Unneat but please take a look:

    Possible use for Class 350/2s

If CrossCountry made a regional service between Birmingham and Manchester (stopping at more stations to make it differ from the current one between Bristol/Bournemouth to Manchester via Birmingham services) then the Class 350/2's would make good use on that line. Also, a few other services can...

Class 185!!! CLASS 185!!!!!!!!!! Yes! That seems like the perfect train if we added more carriages and made it Tri-mode! That would definitely work!!!

If we were ever to re-introduce the service what rolling stock would be suitable for the service?

So you're saying that the timetable is too tight to fit in a service to Brighton?
