Multiple lines closed 27 Jan in South West and central South due to flooding

From what I understand it’s the other side of the Teignmouth sign at Spey Point. Only way of transporting machinery and materials to the site is by rail.

    Ipswich Platform 1

Trains have to be left with pans raised whenever possible. All trains from the Stowmarket direction arrive in electric mode so it was decided in 2019 that as no more than a single unit will ever use platform 1 so that a uniform stopping point will be used to save any unnecessary operational...

    Driver - Typical Working Day?

I must admit I was always quite laid back. Many a time I’ve been delayed getting into work so just got the DTM to send my diagram to the station managers office so I could get straight to my train. The down side to that obviously is that I have not checked any late notices but most stuff in the...

Most haven’t a clue what it entails let alone the cost. We can add to the others who live in a hard done by world who seem...

Storm to close line at Dawlish evening 23rd to Saturday afternoon (and beyond)

Oh mate that comment sends me into orbit and ‘just saying’ is another <D If I read one more ridiculous post about reopening the Tavistock route or that new wall didn’t last long. Give me strength!!!!!

Storm to close line at Dawlish evening 23rd to Saturday afternoon (and beyond)

Why after all this time do they still fret about how much was spent on it? Did the job and done now. I find most of the comments on social media are from small minded keyboard warriors who either think they’re funny or more likely have no clue what they are spouting about

    May 2026 timetable

A slogan used many times for that railway and currently a theme with the hare on GA‘s sponsorship of ITV Anglia weather.

You can often see parts of that path wall that have been repaired & patched up over the years. Hopefully get the line open but possibly close the walk way for a time.
