Was on the Red Funnel ferry from Southampton to Isle of Wight this morning and spotted at least 4 701's at I think at Marchwood.

Was at Lymington last night and the train waited a couple of minutes for the foot passengers off the ferry. There was even a wightlink employee stopping cars at the crossing.

Being on 222104 on a 5 car peak service a few weeks back there was plenty of room. Probably down to it being Friday though. Obviously there this will be standardized and have more capacity once the 810's arrive.

I think it was the unite strike that EMR had a year or so back the Derby to Crewe service ran every hour including the missing services which are not in the normal timetable.

A family member spotted the front part of the loco in a west bound layby on the A50 near Derby earlier, probably on the way back to Crewe.
