    Uses for ex-Grand Central Mk4s?

But how do you know that this is fake?

    EMR Smart Kiosk

They just look like one of those bank account things from banks. I'm not complaining though, they do look fine. Northern introduced something similar to this (It looked similar to a McDonald's screen kiosk) so I'm not sure if it's the first. Japan also already has a lot of these "smart kiosks".

Class 700s - was it necessary for them to be so uncomfortable? How could they be done better, perhaps at refurb?

I’d say replace the standard class seats with Quantum M101 seating (I’ve heard that it is a more comfortable alternative to Fainsa Sophia seats) and first class with FISA Lean’s.

    Train Seat Guide

I feel your pain. The most abismal part is that they need to stick to an extremely strict rule that prevents incidents to them, such as the seats catching fire. The Civities use the same type of seats from fainsa, but they have a different and more comfortable cushioning. The same goes for...

TPE Liverpool to Cleethopes direct service: Thoughts and suggestions.

It does mention Liverpool South Parkway though.

TPE Liverpool to Cleethopes direct service: Thoughts and suggestions.

The reason I left out Widnes was that the Manchester Recovery Taskforce paper states that there will not be a stop at Widnes.

TPE fleet changes if TPML gets fully electrified?

Porterbrook is using those for battery train's, but there could be a small chance of TPE getting their hand's on them. In fact, you could use their battery function for the Leeds to Hull section. I'd keep the Class 185 on Cleethorpes services. There is already a plan to revitalise the...

TPE fleet changes if TPML gets fully electrified?

I'd think they would order the extra 22 set's to deploy on Liverpool to Edinburgh and Manchester Airport to Newcastle services and let the existing 802s replace the Mk5 on Liverpool to Scarbrough and Manchester Airport to Redcar Central services. I doubt the Mk5's could have any future, due to...

East West and Northumberland rail lines get £794m boost

If we were to electrify the lines it would be an absolute waste of money. Battery and Hydrogen trains are fine, but diesel trains I'm not so sure. Anyways, it's an exciting investment and this is only the first two, so we could see more reopenings.

Which Train Concept or Pre-Existing Should Run on Hs2

My choice is Alstom AGV. They seem adaptable for both Captive and Classic-compatible services. 11 or 10 car sets would do, with coupling for 400m services.

TPE Liverpool to Cleethopes direct service: Thoughts and suggestions.

They will instead terminate at Oxford Road. 1611393812 I think what the government are trying to say is that it was never a good idea to run that many TPE services or any other TOC services except Northern to Airport, a problem which a lot of us think needs to be fixed. I'm fine with this...

TPE Liverpool to Cleethopes direct service: Thoughts and suggestions.

I choose the direct Liverpool to Cleethorpes/Nottingham service since you have both the luxury of a direct service and changing at stations for connections.

TPE Liverpool to Cleethopes direct service: Thoughts and suggestions.

As determined by the Manchester Recovery Taskforce, a direct Liverpool to Cleethorpes service operated by Transpennine Express (formerly and incorrectly stated to be operated by Nothern trains, due to a missprint) has been put into consultation both options B and C. As C seems to be the most...

    Manchester Recovery Taskforce (timetable) consultation

A bit off-topic, but the idea of a Liverpool to Cleethorpes (Operated by TPE, there is an error on the service pattern map) sounds exciting.
