    thanks for that, thought 007 was green and 142 was maroon lil livery currently but I'm sure one was grey on the way past. not doubting you but my own eyesight ha ha ha thanks again.

    thanks for that, my guess was that it would have to be an option that was open for them if needed. in recent years I can remember a few occasions chiltern has been used for gwr diverts and even voyagers on wcml diverts too.

    given that the chiltern line is used by hst's on gwr diverts will this be able to continue with 800s and 802s in the future? from what I can see from googling it line clearance is based primarily on axle loading but to the eye the 800s coaches are longer so curvature is a consideration surely...

    arrived banbury 20:54 last night and left at 22:37. arrived banbury 20:50 last night and departed at 22:40 so not too late for you! the move left derby at about 16:00 so my point was that on the southbound moves you get plenty of notice if you check RTT.

    hi Peter, where would you be hoping to see them? derby to ruislip is easy to pick up from RTT obviously because it leaves much earlier in the day and spends time layed over at Banbury. in the other direction it can be cancelled at late notice and cause a wasted journey! I myself live in wycombe...

    I wouldn't have thought so, I only noticed them at the last second as I left on a train from one of the bay platforms for high wycombe the other day. i dont know the area outside oxford station but im fairly sure there is a side road next to the sidings. check Google maps!
