The DMI is very relaxed, I found it was the most chilled part of the whole process.
It's mostly them explaining to you the job, the shifts and the training, focusing on what they expect of you, ie in driving school you must be there every day etc. And they also will get to know you aswell, ask...
I cant realy answer that im affraid, when I applied it was for a Brighton/Selhurt opening and then I got offered Barnham at the DMI because I live in west sussex. So generally I think once you start the TL process it will be TL going forward.
Yeah i was too, i spoke to him in April when i passed my PR1 l. from what i have heard SN is slightly better all round. Non of that matters to me though, I always wanted to be SN as its the brand I grew up using and knowing.
Obviously I could be wrong as it may well have changed and it may well...
I wouldn't bank on that, a mate of mine is a TL driver and he was on 36 the entire time until he passed out.

Ahh ok, unless its changed i believe TL is half that for the whole time, so 36ish. A mate of mine is a driver for TL and he was on 36iah the whole time untill passing out...
It's 36k for the first 3-4 months, once you pass our first performance review it goes to £48,650 and will remain at that until you pass out.
Obviously for this money you agree to commit to bieng at training every day, you get 2 weeks off allocated as a group during the 5-6 month driving school...
Welcome
First thing to do is get onto the website for your local train company, if they have a career's page which most will , sign up for job alerts, and keep an eye out here, jobs are posted on this forum fairly regularly.
Don't look into how long it takes, no news is good news.
I applied in 2020 and didn't get put through till Oct 2024, my case was abnormal though as I applied right before covid but by 2022 I thought it was just not happening than 2024 as I say they put me through.
So im now a advocate for dont...
Really, i was always told application in general was 2 attempts (when I applied)
Fair enough, even better. More reason to reapply :)

Don't give up, reapply when you can, I didn't get through 1st time, I thought it wouldn't happen. But I reapplied and smashed it 2nd time. So go...
I believe its 3 now.... (dont quote me on that)
I failed and when asked they said I didn't "structure" my answers correctly.
So my second time i practiced my answers using the S.T.A.R interview method. That will structure each answer the right way.
I found the 2nd time much more laid back...
If you pass the assessment day you will than proceed onto a DMI (driver manager interview) and than passing that the MMI (multimodal interview) and finaly the medical screening.
I'm assuming they will just run more services Via dorking which is pretty restrictive but is the best work around I could think of, I'm no planner though
Completely depends, you could sit in a talent pool for a while, you'd hear if you were not proceeding anymore so I always say no news is good news. But I agree email them to enquire.
Realy good, intense at times but overall realy good fair bit of home studying to do aswell. But you do get rostered x2 1 week holidays during the 5 months driving school which breaks it up well.
Your doing it at Barnham?? How odd, they usualy do it all at go-ahead.
Yes sure, so I thought it was the most relaxed part of the process, mostly it's them explaining the wages, shift hours, what it's like working as a driver etc etc basically so you know what demands to expect and what to...
