Is there a 345 in passenger service today? Just pulled out of goodmayes and one was going the other way slowing into the station. The back said Shenfield on it. There's nothing on RTT for that time though (about 9:35).

Following on from my original post it seems that despite there being nothing in the 6 month look ahead, the line is closed completely for most of April and May, if the posters at stations are to be believed.

Well yes, but there seems to be a lot more work needs doing than they could get done in 4 days! I was wondering if there was a big project or just lots of small ones along the whole line.

I notice from the 6 month look ahead on the TFL website that after Easter weekend there are no more closures on TFL Rail (Brentwood to Shenfield aside) until August Bank Holiday. So does this mean that after Easter the majority of the works will be complete? From what I have seen there still...

I have noticed this week on TFL Rail services announcements saying "We are now approaching X, the gap between the train and the platform has increased so please take extra care" before a number of stations. Can anyone shed any light as to why this is? I can only think track changes as I doubt...

When I got to Stratford last night they were announcing it on platform 8 as "due to a fatality in the Bethnal Green area". So not everywhere was using the emergency services line.

Ended up on this today. Looks nice from the outside! Grab handles have been re-covered in blue, and as said, the pink has been replaced by a greeny beige colour. Personally I don't think the green colour is that nice, but other than that it all looked good. I think I read that the seat...

I'm sure that either open train times or real time trains used to have a feature that showed which service a train would next form after it terminated. However, I can't seem to find it on either of those sites any more. Could someone tell me if either I imagined this, or if it is just no...

Are there any details known yet of what went wrong? To go from "everything is on schedule" on Monday afternoon to a 5+ hour overrun, I would guess something pretty major must have happened.

Just out of interest...why does the Edgware branch need to be closed so often for testing of the new signals. Is it being used as a test area, or is there something a lot more complicated about that branch?

How many of the peak H&C trains are now S7 stock? I haven't seen any C stock for a while, so are they all now S7?

Must say on the whole I have been really impressed with GA so far. Communication is much better and there do seem to be fewer delays. Tonight wasn't a good night though with the problems at Ilford, and no-one really seemed to know what was going on. Was told there was a signal failure...
