Can passengers access the TGS slam door from the inside? And are they allowed to use it to board the HST or is it blocked off from the rest of the carriage for the guards use only?

Are the Greater Anglia Mk3’s going to Chiltern then? I know they only have one slam door set currently.

I wonder why EMR have hardly any HST’s operating on their new Coronavirus timetable. Are they not needed for limited services? I hope they come back for the May timetable once this is all over!

I agree, I also enjoy walking to the buffet car, stretching my legs and enjoying something fresh on a train. There is a certain magic to it!

Yeah I might just go sooner whilst the trains are still running at least. Opposed to waiting until mid April and there is no catering and no trains!

very true, I was thinking of bringing the date of travel forward but maybe it’s more wise to wait until mid April and hope things improve!

Thanks guys, this is all very reassuring! Looks like I can sleep easy knowing I'll be riding a HST. Now I'm just going to worry about the service being cancelled because of Covid19! Can't win! :'(

Ah yes that makes perfect sense! They advertise breakfast from Leeds on the Saturday service so I was a bit confused as to why no mention of it on the weekday service but like you said the catering must just start at Sheffield. I wonder how likely this service is to change rolling stock but...

I've noticed recently that several off-peak Class 90 services don't have a buffet car and instead just a trolley service. I prefer to walk to the buffet car rather than waiting to order from the trolley. Does anyone know either from experience or information which Greater Anglia Class 90...
