142078 is with 150112 on the 1117 Blackburn to Rochdale, and seems to be the only Pacer out at present. Should work as follows for the rest of the day: 1242 RCH-BBN 1405 1417 BBN-RCH 1529 1542 RCH-CLH 1732 1753 CLH-RCH 1929 1942 RCH-BBN 2105 Hope this is useful to anyone who is out today.

I certainly did think that - I had to do a double take. There's another path in RTT tomorrow that could be a unit returning from York to Heaton. It's scheduled to pass through platform 4 in Newcastle at 1736.

Thanks, the sun was almost perfect for the picture. The train was on RTT, but I didn't see it there initially. I just turned up at Newcastle station and saw the Pacer on platform 8.

142071 was at Newcastle this afternoon on 5G16 from Heaton to York. Thinking it might be the last time I see a Pacer in Newcastle!

Apologies if this appears somewhere else, but I've heard that the last day in service for 142s with Northern will be Friday 14th February or Saturday 15th February. Is anyone able to confirm this?

I believe the plan was for BN21 to stand down after operating 1E22 this evening, the 1600 Edinburgh to London Kings Cross. The loco was 91130, but this will continue in service.

There are no Northern services in the northeast tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if the set goes back to Heaton tonight, as that will give an idea of what might happen on Thursday.

Here are 142065 and 142095 at Allens West earlier this afternoon with the 1322 from Saltburn to Darlington

It seems like 65/95 are working 20 past every 'even' hour from Darlington, finishing up with the 2016 arrival. It looks like a 158 on the 'odd' hour diagram.

I'm on 1B25, which left Paddington six minutes late, and we've only lost five minutes since then. Seems to be performing pretty well on one power car, and I haven't seen a fitter.

I've just tried the LNER website and it let me book a seat on the 1830 from PAD to BTH, as it shows overtaken trains.

Are there changes to the LTP diagrams on Saturday 16th February? I'm planning a trip from London to Exeter (out at 1003 ex PAD, back at 1603 ex EXD) but getting seats that don't exist in HSTs anymore (coach E or high numbers in coach L). Realise that similar questions have been asked before, but...
