I'm aware that around this time last year scotrail embarked on a major trainee driver recruitment process. Is there any chance of vacancies arising for similar positions this year or are they still well subscribed from last year?

I guess that's the supposedly 100 jobs which were advertised in September all spoken for now then.

I am thinking likewise. I thought my application would of possibly merited making the next stage, but obviously not. That said, I applied for north and I am not aware of anyone on here who has heard anything back concerning north.

Stever1702 I am not aware of anyone on this forum who has heard back in relation to north applications. I too, am holding out for Perth. The process is still ongoing just now.

From the recent posts I've read, it appears that the successful applicants this far, are either hopefuls who have applied to west or east, is that correct? I have applied for north and have not heard anything back so I'm kind of hoping that this is the case.
