Is this London Terminals not valid via Farringdon a new thing? Four years ago I travelled from Letchworth to Blackfriars on a London Terminals ticket and had no problem exiting the station. Ticket wouldn’t work the barriers at Farringdon on the return journey but a short walk to City Thameslink...

Depends on which aircraft. In a C-130 you would have been sat along the side of the fuselage facing the middle. I suspect the A400 and C-17 are the same.

The King and Castle at Kidderminster (SVR) station has an outside seating area with a good view of SVR rail traffic.

Tite and Locke on Lancaster station has an outside seating area from where rail traffic can be observed. Good range of Lancaster Brewery ales too.

Over the years I’ve visited most heritage railways and of the few I’ve yet to visit, the Pontypool and Blaenavon is probably top of my list”to do” list. 1776293370 It’s an absolute gem.
