I travel on the GEML most days and yes, from experience, it has.
There's a particular nasty side to side kink going through Marks Tey on the Up Main, I watched a chap nearly end up in someone's lap a few weeks ago*. I now subconsciously brace going through there to avoid whiplash!
*I did...
Don't know the reason behind this but not good.
Just as an observation, I've just got back from a holiday in Scotland and a fair amount of travelling using Scotrail (8 journeys), most on the Highland Mainline and although punctuality was good generally I wasn't overly impressed with much else...
I deal with the DfT and civil Servants every day.
What will have to change for those who do transfer to GBR is that they will have to start making decisions and taking responsibility for their decisions which is something the vast majority of them have not done up to now, and accepting the...
Remember that the RMT seem to be pushing for contracted staff such as cleaners etc to be directly employed by the railway so if catering was increased they would presumably want the same- permanent roles rather than contract/ casual.
It will be interesting to see Red Heidi's response to this...
Well with BR coming back and with everyone getting nostalgic about how brilliant BR were why not?
Back to the 1970s I say!
Not sure if the Afrika Korps peaked caps will go down too well nowadays though.
Record for my home station last summer for assists in one day (not at liberty to divulge the name) but it's a small/medium sized city that serves a number of holiday resorts was.....

I only met him twice, once at a charity event at Liverpool Street and when he was the keynote speaker at an industry...
Yeah, I also use 'trainspotter' which is OKish but not as good imo. I also use the Web based train logger but that's not really usable when out and about.

Trying to contact the developer gives 'page not found' using the links.
I can see the benefits of TOTO for metro services and limited stop services like Stansted express but what about long distance services- I can't see how this would work as you could end up with a massive fee if you weren't up to speed on ticket prices?
Living in Huntingdon in the 70s Peterborough, Cambridge, and March were regular locations for a day trip on Saturdays and School Holidays.
I don't recall seeing many 45s- the odd one stabled at March every now and then, but not often and again, I can't recall ever seeing one on a passenger...
