I had to wait 6 weeks for FCC but that was a day of misery and disruption on the ECML. EC were very quick to respond earlier in the year. Northern don't do delay repay for under an hour (perhaps due to mostly offering regional short distance services?)

The voyagers have to be amongst the most unsuitable trains on the whole network. When travelling south to the Midlands from Newcastle I always ensure I get on a train starting at Newcastle. Getting a seat when its come in from Glasgow or Edinburgh is a challenge to say the least!

Capita do send the letters out, yes. But they are just acting on the BBC's behalf who approve all of the content and instruct them how to act. And TV Licensing is a just a brand name of the BBC so as the letters are from TV Licensing, they are from the BBC. I have no doubt whatsoever if...

Newark and Grantham have connections to Lincolnshire (Lincoln, Grimsby, Sleaford etc.) so make it worthwhile stopping there and the stations are always reasonably busy. Retford doesn't provide nearly as many connections.
