The last section of the Stainland Branch has been converted into a private approach road. You can see it on the attached photo. Climbs up from road level, follows the cutting past the site of Stainland box, underneath the Station Road bridge and into the site of the former station.

There was a Blackpool tram book in the 1980s that showed a Blackpool balloon car on the back of a low loader, making its way through the outskirts of Huddersfield. Can't imagine the Northern hills are the easiest things to drive a truck up with a double-deck tram on the back.

The disused platforms at Hartlepool and Halifax. Bradford Interchange is also terrible compared to what it replaced. All three trumped by Sunderland. Never seen the view from the outside but inside is awful.
