Tonight, tomorrow night's and Thursdays night 2U88, usually Birmingham Snow Hill to Banbury will run under headcode 2A88 Birmingham Snow Hill to Aylesbury

196005 was in service on Sunday between Birmingham Snow Hill and Hereford

Herefords were 172s and a 170 505 attached to a 172 today

The 196 departures that happened today from Snow Hill were the 0836 and 1236. Not sure if the 196s would return again as I don't know the diagram its on.

Tbh 2 tph is just about right, loadings are consistent throughout the day. There are usually a 6 car, couple of 5 cars and couple of 4 cars running (better than LM days where only 2 cars and 3 cars came out). I feel that the east side of the line (Dorridge (less so as Chiltern do run til 10pm)...

172s are due to be all 5 cars and some 4 car from May on Snow Hill, No more 6 car services.

I think I read somewhere that the new engines are more eco friendly than what is installed on the 800/802s so I am thinking that's why they have to tested more, I could be wrong.

I think they are running mileage runs on the snow hill lines and I believe any extra 196s will be doing some snow hill runs once the all units have been introduced on the salop and Hereford line
