507002 hasn't long come off some pretty hefty maintenance to get it back in service. I think it only managed a few diagrams (if that) so that was money well spent o_O

As you say, if this is the avenue Land Recovery are heading down it would make zero sense to pay a higher price for working locos if they are going to strip them...

Exactly this. I'm no expert but I would presume it is a situation where TfW remain the lease holders until the end of the current agreement or until suitable alternatives are found. And if suitable alternatives are found, I doubt TfW will be wanting to argue against the fleet being moved on and...

I think it has been added since they realised that having people standing in the massive space they created to increase standing capacity is causing door faults. Don't tell the Mayor though, he doesn't like anyone bad-mouthing his new trains :lol:

They are the preferred paths - the Deltic was using those paths recently so fingers crossed that's on an Intercity branded tour soon as well
