Others may disagree but I'd do the application now. I tried applying for another toc last week and the job was removed within 36 hours when the closing date was about 2 weeks. I get the impression that they are removed automatically once they receive a pre determined amount of applications
I was just looking at this. The mentioned salary, is that the trainee salary? Any idea what qualified salary will be as this will be taking a pretty large pay cut if I go for it
I just spoke to recruitment, they have stated that because they have received the amount they are looking for we won't be able to submit the application now as i expected, however she did say once they have marked them all, if they don't get enough that are up to standard, it'll be reopened...
Guess it'd be clutching at straws to wonder if they'd still let me submit it since I'd pretty much finished it? Any idea how I'd go about contacting them?
Like everybody else I'm disappointed, however there is a part of me that is relieved this whole thing is over now and I can forget about it. I do feel very misled by virgin but if I'm honest i have been questioning for a while whether this is a company i want to work for because of how we have...
Ok i think I'm done with this forum now guys, there seems to be a couple of people on here that seem keen to peddle rumours to the rest of us hoping for start dates and it doesn't help at all trying to make the whole situation so negative for us. We were told 4 weeks ago that they still intended...
The email that i received last week, although didnt fill me with confidence that it would be good news, did say we'd have as update this week. To be fair to them, they have been good at updating us when they say they will so i expect some news, good or bad, by close of play tomorrow
It does seem odd that they are still keeping us waiting to tell us that it isn't going to happen. If I'm honest i think I'd prefer to just know that it won't happen at all, at least it's a definitive answer. Being told that we are in a pool and may get a future date would be worse i think, I'm...
Pretty much what i expected to be honest. It's frustrating and does feel like we've been misled as it was only 4 weeks ago that they emailed saying we'd know a definite start date in April
I think the point of the email a few weeks ago was just to let us know who our new point of contact will be. I'm certainly not expecting an update on start dates next week, i think realistically the best we can hope for is confirmation that they still intend to take us on despite recent events
I think i assume that it is going to be bad news for us all unfortunately but at this point i just want to know so that i can stop thinking about it all the time
I received a response from virgin today saying that they are not far off being able to give us an update of how they'll be moving forward in relation to us and that they expect to be able to confirm the situation in the coming week
I've just received this email too, saying congratulations on my job offer, but i haven't received an offer, very confusing. I assume that this email at least confirms i have the job even though an offer has yet to be sent out
