    Have seen a picture on Twitter with 3 car 185 sitting in P3 on late evening working- not saying this happens all the time, but it does have a wait there. Thinking of spending a night in Manchester to give it two goes sometime soon.

    Some nice shacks to cross off the list. On my visit my Beauly, I walked into the town centre for breakfast (Harry Gow) and was surprised by the architecture and large hotels. Only other thing I remember of the visit was the line of trees either side of the road full of crows!

    For anyone making logs of journeys...make a note of the UID, as as "U" suggests, this is an unique id for a train on that date and can be searched far easier than headcode.

    What is the official platform number of Liverpool Lime Street Low Level?

    As per the title. National Rail goes by "A", whereas RTT reports it as "L". I'm pretty sure pre-expansion of the main station, it was "1" (which probably led to some confusion). Any help appreciated.

    Some services that terminate at Waltham Cross during engineering start from P2 and run bang line to Brimsdown before crossing back. Confuses the normals at both Waltham Cross and Enfield Lock.

    Highly recommend using openstreetmap.org for finding the whereabouts of footbridges and underpasses on stations... has much more detail than google/etc. Looks like you had a good time in my neck of the woods on Saturday. If all goes to plan, I'll be in Glasgow next Saturday as well... you...

    I have used a passenger train from Wimbledon P4 (have a picture somewhere), but it is very rare. P1-4 all have 4 rails (one being the 3rd rail!), so could be used in theory? Was you able to catch a train into Victoria P2 via Stewarts Lane?... one little crossover on the approach that would...
