One thing to note was that all the stations where island platforms hence the doors on one side and they where all built on a hump to help the trains slow down to stop and then accelerate again.
The main limitation on tram frequency is more a case of how much it effects the rest of the traffic on princes street rather than the power supply, for the 6 nations they normally run every 5 minutes which i think is the limit as they aslo have extra buses on and they all have to get along...
Not really as the tickets you buy last for 6 months for residents and is you are visiting 3 day tickets will get you over that. You can share the tickets you buy with friends and family also.
The autocoupling ability should stop staff having to get between the coaches reducing the risk of staff injuries would be my assumption for the reasoning.

I believe a certain number of slots are reserved for uk internal flights and where previously used by Virgin Little Red hence the new Scotland to London flights using them.
I doubt they will be in a rush to close the second runway as it is used multiple times a year overnight to allow them to do maintenance on the main runway.

Since the train needs a locomotive at each end anyway at Euston couldn't they just have a 90 on either end powering half the trains ets requirements each if the 92s problems haven't been resolved in time?
One thing worth noting is that for Locals the Ridacards are valid on the tram in the airport fare zone so you can use it for no extra cost if you have one.
I will admit to having checked the date as well but it does bode well for mainline steam if they can pull it all off, easier to path locomotives hauling more reliable coaching stock operated by the professionals at DB.
When i was there a few weeks ago the toilets, ticket office and I think boots where still open along with a temporary coffee stand where open, everything else was closed up.
