When you join.. but once you've joined you can go pretty much anywhere.. some fly in from Spain.

Doing guard training with SWR atm.. 4 full weeks classroom learning, pace fairly slow. then (currently, no. of tractions signed going to drastically reduce soon (lol, as if 701s will arrive anytime soon), another 4 weeks train working then 4 weeks-ish route learning before being signed off...

Everyone's in one big old list being prioritised in a mixture of previous start date and depot requirements.. literally just wait for the phone call, best advice I can give :)

I was required to self-isolate, so missed my training start date and was pushed back to January from early November.. fortunately someone has dropped out of another course so I now start next Thursday on my Guard's course.
