Having experienced Oxenholme when buses had to be called in unexpectedly to shift an 11 car pendolino worth of passengers it is most definitely not well suited for RRB operations of that scale.

IMO your taxes are paying for those that pay nothing which is fair enough as they are entitled to the pass, however Citylink are inflating the fare deliberately to ensure they get even more of your taxes. The fact the Scottish Government are allowing it to happen is where the failure is.

There is also currently plenty of rumbling in Dunbar at the moment regarding commuter services into Edinburgh with proposed gaps similar to Durham/Newcastle

Wednesday and Thursday were the only days last week that the 0652 managed to do the full journey. It either started or terminated at Preston Monday, Tuesday and Friday. I'm on it on Thursday and can't say I'm looking forward to it at the moment.
