You can walk into any FOC around the Carlisle area if you are already qualified. Colas, DB and GB have active adverts for such positions. Freightliner did at the end of 2022 and DRS always interested in transfers
That is not the case. Pressing the SG does show up on reports which Network Rail can run. Many disputes have been won with evidence of the SG being pressed by the driver. Delays are relevant to drivers and form KPI's in many companies.
