The two trainees positions are for the two separate links. Which used to be the TPE link and the old northern link, now both northern but still using there old t’s and c’s.
TPE link have Sunday’s in there working week northern do not.
How can learning it another way be a bad thing? Surly you would learn both ways then keep the way that's works for you. Plus training wages are not that bad. And if it is ultimately the toc you want with a closer depot better traction and routes then it's a no brainer.
Nice position to be in. Great opportunity to do the training course twice, which can be seen as a great thing improve your knowledge, and go into your new toc as the dogs bollocks, but not cocky.
I know what I would do say thankyou very much to your current toc and move to your preferred.
I wouldn't worry too much about the alcohol content as it will be out your system before your medical/screening. However I'd be asking myself why would I drink before a medical or screening? Bonkers if you ask me, to even put yourself in that position.
Depends on the toc Transpennine express used to state you had to be within 5'2" and 6'4"
But it does not state that anymore.
At northern I know of a driver 6'5"
And one of 6'6"
It will be name a time you delivered excellent customer service and what you know about the role, training and company etc.
However I've only done this for drivers and not conductors so might be different
Definitely get confirmation off HR, speak to whoever is in charge weather it is the HR director or HR manager, just push it a little further as I can see no reason why doing it in one day or over two makes any difference what so ever
