I miss jumping on the Routemaster and off again where ever I like, I also miss getting off the train at Tonbridge and being half way up the stairs before the train actually stopped, H&S gone mad me thinks.
In the 90s I was using a bike and the train everyday for commuting, never a problem because the train was a VEP / CIG / CEP so had proper brake van accommodation for bikes and any other large items that couldn't be put in the passenger area.
Angry Grandpa is the King of YouTube as far as I am concerned, mad old coot but has me in fits of laughter every time, even after a day dept collecting.
I've been known to get on the train before people have got off because some people are so disorganised and are faffing about with laptops and brollies and whatever, I haven't got all day, move already.
I do not want my fares to go up anymore, I work long hours but I am not made of money, too many increases and I might as well stop working and live off the tax payer.
Not mine but my Auntie's
Ponders End 0
Used to be fine but due to penny pinching they have closed the ticket office so now there's never any staff, the regular Ponders End station master was a good bloke who was always helpful and friendly, sadly replaced by a couple of unreliable machines.
