Not completely 100% but i dont think it would have breached any by laws as no tickets have changed hands or anything like that (the only exception would be if it was an advance purchase ticket where seat reservations are compulsory) so looking at it, they were just being gentlemen!!!! A Seat...
North Wales Mainline between Chester & Holyhead I agree with Statto is stunning
Going under the Britannia Bridge between Llanfairpwll & Bangor, the views either side are breathtaking, between Bangor & Llandudno Junction you got the brilliant coast & of course Conwy Castle, the Llandudno...
I had a refund claim on a split advance ticket that I did with Cross Country, and surprisingly I got both of the sections of the journey refunded even though they layed on a replacement train at Birmingham due to the delay. I also had my 2nd half endorced too after Birmingham due to a change of...
Now that is a good price!!!!!! How far in advance did you have to book???
Well the pendo unit is 390034, however they are having trouble fitting the loco at the moment and fitters have been called!!!!!!! Already 18 mins late as Ive posted this, not left Crewe yet!!!!!!

Certainly does work in theory I'll grant you that, but if that 1523 service from Chester is late for whatever reason (unless its severely delayed like more than around 30-40 mins) that goes out of the window completely, ive been on that service 5 times since it changed, 4 of them were running...
I'm shocked nobody has mentioned another major change to the timetable which occurs on Monday to Friday now
The 1523 from Holyhead to Birmingham International (1G60) now leaves at 1544 & now runs non stop from Llandudno Junction to Chester
There is a new service now leaving Junction at 1625...
I havent really had any problems with any barrier staff round Piccadilly, but I regularly use the 4 in 8 coast & peaks rover (and sometimes the South Pennines or Lancashire, dont tend to get the Cheshire one as all of that is covered by the coast & peaks ticket) , but if you ever have problems...
The Oldham Mumps mileage is already on RailMiles (but it could be because it was a former rail route (so the future extension to Rochdale might be the same until the new route via Oldham town centre is launched)) so for that reason I'm not 100% sure it is completely accurate as there are...
Dewsbury station (Platform 2) - The West Riding (real ale, food, music, and very nice too)
Huddersfield - Head Of Steam (just outside station, real ale & food etc)
Leeds - There's a Convienient Spoons in the station complex
Also just up the road in Greek Street (about 5 mins walk away past...
I personally went to Fishguard for route exploration but the guy that was sat next to me had an advance for that train to Clarbeston Road, the conductor agreed to stop at Clarbeston Road for him, it probably would have been a full refund as well otherwise. Just hope National Rail & Arriva Trains...
Now up to 23815 because of my latest Wales exploits, however I have started a new post on a train service that I was on due to a major discrepancy!!!!!!!
Well today (4th May) I was happily on this service on 150237 which according to National Rail Enquiries (and booking engines like Trainline, Redspottedhanky etc) calls at :
Llanelli, Whitland, Clarbeston Road then terminating at Fishguard Harbour
