If it was part time with a company and not an agency then I’m sure you’d still get all of that just not the full amount.
yes mate I’m currently freight but making a move to passenger soon, I don’t really think you not knowing the traction and route would be an issue as they’d just train you on...

I agree, some of the shifts can be bad enough, never mind them being all over the place for different company’s.
Agency, was working a box train for one company and then on a ballast the next night for another, says he covers GB, DRS, Db and FL, I’d never heard of it before I spoke to him.
I’m not very clued up on it to be honest, I’m a driver my self that’s all. I don’t think company’s have an issue with it being done privately now, what it will do is more than likely give you a better chance of getting an interview quicker if you apply.

My daughter was born when I was on my training, at the beginning when I was offered the job they said no time off while training the same as your TOC, guess it’s just something that has to be done but as you’d agree it’s 100% worth it.
