I have an anytime train ticket Cheltenham Spa to Burton-on-Trent. Can I use this ticket to go Cheltenham Spa to Birmingham New Street , the take a train to Lichfield Trent Valley, then a train Lichfield Trent Valley to Tamworth , then Tamworth to Burton-on-Trent?
Is it valid for this route...
Thanks for the reply. I wanted a stop over at Burton so going via Tamworth was about 30 mins quicker. Also going St Pancras to Derby I would have had to have used my season ticket from Derby to Bristol for the short distance to Burton.

I see that the off-peak ticket is £14.10 (adult) going via stoke. Why will National rail booking not allow me to go via Derby on this ticket? If I try and route via Derby the ticket cost goes to £30.90? Peak time its even more. Thanks.

I have bought advance tickets but now one of us cant travel. I know the T&Cs say that both people must travel together but what if one person is say ill on the day and cant travel? According to the FAQ there is nothing on this subject other than both must travel together so tickets are invalid...
