How strict are train attendants with Young Person's (16-25) railcards?

I can't see that written anywhere in the Terms and Conditions, unless I'm reading the wrong thing :| If that is what I have to, how long would it take to get a replacement? I'll be needing to use it in a week's time.

How strict are train attendants with Young Person's (16-25) railcards?

I have a Young Person's railcard (16-25). The majority of the time it isn't actually checked by the train attendants, but the rare times it is, it's never been a problem. However, I look very different now to what I do on the card photograph (MUCH shorter hair and have lost weight). I'm...

Guard scribbles on train ticket - Rejected at barriers

That's strange. I've never had problems getting through when I speak to the guard thankfully, although the one I mentioned the other day looked puzzled, and I think the only reason he let me through was because there was a big crowd behind me :| At least it means the ticket was valid anyhow :)

I've had this problem almost every time I travel from Carmarthen station to subsequent stations - which I have to do fairly often. The ticket attendants at Carmarthen always scribbles a little biro mark on my ticket when checking it. I've noticed they always make the scribble right across the...

Missing a connecting train - Are you forced to buy another ticket? (weather)

Thanks all :D you've helped put my mind at ease a little bit. At Liverpool Street I'm allowed 55 minutes for the Underground. The Tube doesn't take long usually (around 20 mins tops) so there shouldn't be any problems there. I was more worried about the Harlow train messing everything up but...

Missing a connecting train - Are you forced to buy another ticket? (weather)

Hello everyone. on Friday I am travelling from Harlow to Carmarthen. (Harlow - Liverpool Street, Liverpool Street to Paddington via Tube, Paddington to Swansea, Swansea to Carmarthen). If say, the Harlow train is severely delayed and I miss my Paddington train to Swansea, does this mean I...

Why are my tickets rejected at the barriers?

I travel from Carmarthen to Harlow Town every couple of months when I visit home from university. I take the train from Carmarthen to Swansea, then the First Great Western to London Paddington, and then the tube to Liverpool Street and finally, Liverpool Street to Harlow Town - and then the same...
