They are unlikely to run any new routes until/if they stabilise their finances.
The routes you suggest are quite obscure, and without travelling via London, Birmingham or Manchester you are unlikely to get the consistent passenger numbers.
That’s because companies have transferred buses to their other operating companies. For example, Go Ahead transferred 19 to Manchester after the loss of a route.
Aah yes the end of the famous Liverpool bus wars.
And if that proves to be case once the services start I’m sure more buses will be added on. There will be mechanisms for that.
The best thing about franchising means that they can be more responsive and not have to rely on private companies...
It’s really not dreadful though. Yes the services are busy, but for a lot of the route there are many other bus services that run along the same route. From St Helens to Huyton granted there are only the 10/10a but from Huyton you have other services such as the 10b. Then from Page Moss you have...
To be fair in Liverpool they worked quite well. The 10/10a, 86, 82, 53 and 471/472 (possibly) all worked well and led to good service shared between Arriva and Stagecoach.
Exactly.
As much as there may not have been the legal grounds to confiscate if they were causing a nuisance, and from their behaviour in the video, it seems quite likely then good on Southeastern!

The comments on the video suggest that they had a child’s ticket when they were inspected and subsequently had alcohol.
If they are railway staff they do not have the legal authority to seize alcohol. However, they can ask you to hand it over or dispose of it. They could refuse...
For Arriva it will not make a difference, they don’t run anything unless they really have to in Medway. Some routes they operate have no services from the middle of December to early January.
Although the Bank Holiday is not until the Monday, I would happily bet that Arriva does not operate a...
That is correct. If there was any service in Medway it would have been the 151. Arriva do not operate in Medway on Christmas Day.
This is an image of the bus service run by Arriva in Medway. I’m not sure on my phone how to do the alternative text.
If it says Eurotunnel then it is Eurotunnel. If it says P&O then it is P&O. If it says DFDS then it is DFDS. The drivers are unable to pick and choose the way they cross the channel - can be a shame sometimes at you could be sitting at Dover for well over an hour for a DFDS and see an Irish...
So I have travelled as a foot passenger for day trips many times each year between Dover and Calais and the first ferry available to foot passengers gets you into Calais about midday. But I have booked for Saturday and managed to book the 06:15 ferry - is this a new addition? It doesn’t seem to...
To be fair BA make announcement saying that it is forbidden to make calls and play sound out loud on their current services with WiFi. Well at least they did on the flight to HND and back.
To be honest the bashing of Medway on here is quite ridiculous. I have lived in Medway from 2022 after living in Plumstead so have been a user of the Thameslink service for commuting since it began when I worked in Slade Green. There were more issues on the trains with drugs and antisocial...
Yes, but that is about mindset. It is a fairly quiet road without any proper issues crossing at either a crossing or at any point. The cost of connecting the two stations will be really high and as such will never be recouped, so it should not even be considered.

it is not. As has...
Usually the service towards Frankfurt, but the Amsterdam service can on rare occasions. The only way to be certain is via the seat reservation map when booking. I have never known the Paris service to be.

As has been said, there are staff at places such as London Victoria, but their...
Maybe Go-Ahead would consider it? They are not too far away already.
I can remember travelling on Z&S when they used to run the service to Northampton, and I was not pleased.
A thread for the discussion of Z&S has been created: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/z-s-thread.291098/
