    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

Definitely a glass half empty pov. When Queen Street is complete next spring the project will have delivered. The 385 reliability is proving to be fairly good. Onto a further ten 385's, Almond Chord, further electrification, double tracking and infrastructure improvements next :-)

Not the case. A phased successful introduction combined with the withdrawal of the 314's. No rush to have them before they're needed. The whole rollout and improvements elsewhere are all on schedule. EGIP is a hugely successful project.

That would be some speculation tbh. The factory there is well established with a full order book and one of those returned from Italy - 385102 - is in Scotland already. More likely that the deliveries are being staggered to ensure a steady introduction and the removal of the remaining 314's...

The Air Con is always very good in Japanese cars, especially in the grey imports. Should of been specified as per a domestic urban train. Because the humidity is even worse there?

Perhaps, could of been better specified by Abellio. Air Con can be upgraded fairly easily but perhaps dedicated Urban stock should be used here?

Would it be correct that the 4 test vehicles (001,002,101,102) won't have to do mileage accumulation when they're delivered back?

I think there's some coordination with the withdrawal of the 314's. Currently 63 delivered, 62 in service. So 7 to go.
