On the subject of vehicles being cascaded from Cornwall reports also suggest not all of the E400MMCs are going to West of England and that the remaining Solos are going to Glasgow.

A few weeks ago I had reason to visit the Burnett Business Park near Keynsham and was surprised to see two of the Scania open tops parked in a yard next to the Bath Bus Company depot.
20808 has gone to Eastern Counties for contract work and is now registered YN62GYR. 23655 is now registered BK15AUY and together with 23654 has passed to Ensign. Both of these are now ‘in preparation’ but whether that is for resale or for transferring within First is not known.
Some weeks ago I had a conversation with an ex First Kernow driver who had already switched to driving for Go Cornwall.
I told him he was likely to sometimes be driving two door buses ex London after mid February.
He was of the opinion the centre door would not be used but I understand the...
Several of these will be two door and it’s suggested are to be converted to single door requiring them to be out of service for long periods at Thorntons or ADL.

39 x E400 plated between 09 and 13 plate.(17 ex Go ahead London, 14 ex Stagecoach London and 8 ex RATP)
20 x B9TL plated between 59 and 61 plate ex Go Ahead London.
Also due 7 x E200 from GAL and 4 x Mercedes Benz 516 ex Diamond...
Just for reference but from Facebook there are a number of Go Ahead London vehicles arriving or arrived at Plymouth.
So far there are two 60 plate Enviro 400, one 61 plate Enviro 400H and six 60/11 plate Enviro 200.
No doubt many more to follow.
Only a light hearted comment but with all the discussion surrounding Go Ahead depots I don’t suppose they will need the former First outstation at Padstow.
I think it holds the award for the most quaintly named outstation in the country.

It’s highly unlikely and not practical I suppose but if Cornwall go for franchising is there anything to stop operators that are not already in the area to bid for parts of the Cornish network? If First are keeping a Truro base perhaps they might have a go! No that’s too silly!!!
