Does anyone know how far Stadler has progressed into the 777 fleet,and how many sets are waiting to be delivered at the moment.

Had dreamt I was waiting at a station and a freight train went through and it had no locomotive haulng it. Just a brake van at each end. It seemed to run on a different gauge too. Going back and fore at regular intervals.

Recently I was on a class 458 travelling out of Waterloo that was going to Waterloo via Reading!

I pity any guard that has to announce any long distance services with all the station stops announced at every station! Years ago in Cardiff Central,station announcements used to include some 'change here for' conections en route. They don't seem to do that much on trains or stations these days...

Hi Everyone Trying to book advance tickets for 0716 Chester to Cardiff Central via Wrexham....the class 67 hauled service. According to NRE I am being put on to other services! Does the 67 service actually run and if it does,why can I not get advance tickets for this journey. Thanks in advance...

Agree with that statement Except today's privatised railways don't do that anymore. With BR they were obliged to get trains running and replace defect locomotives or units en-route. Today they will just cancel a defective train and put a bus on or worse,nothing at all. The 800s like the 195s...

Never had these problems with 47s/55s /HST's on air cons on the ECML. Or indeed 47s/50s HSTs on the GWML. How times have moved on. Not always for the better tho eh?
