As an ex, non-owned-ops driver, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! We used to be told "You're doing a Dupe on X", then we'd be given the paperwork the day before (If we weren't resting), and expected to find the stops and parking ourselves before trying not to get hopelessly lost. Then we'd have paperwork from NX...
i applied when Night Tube first started. Got all the way to the interview, but didn't make a great impression on the Depot Manager. I'm a lot more experienced in handing stressful situations and working in a safety-critical role now, and, if I could get it, it would solve a LOT of issues. For...
TBH, if I had made that post, I certainly wouldn't have mentioned the things I didn't do, it only stirs up feelings of "Well, why did I bother", and other negative reactions.....
You got a confirmation of receipt? That's more than I got. Did you have the weird thing where the list had the job as applied for, but last application date was wrong?
Yes. Fact is, I e-mailed to enquire if my application was received, as it was unclear on my profile, I got an e-mail back stating initial sift takes from 2 weeks to 4 months. Ergo, until April, it's all up in the air.
And I still don't know if my application is even in the pile.......
I got a reply to my query e-mail as to whether my application had actually been received. The reply neither confirms or denies, but says it can take from 2 weeks to four months for the initial sift to happen, and they will be in touch once my application has been reviewed.
For the rest of us poor souls still waiting, would you mind telling us when you applied please? You know, out of idle curiosity..... Thanks in advance!
I've heard nothing, although there are a couple of us that have noticed that in our status on the recruitment website, it lists the job in the applied for list, but, in my case, says the last application was in April 2016, when I applied to work on-station at West Croydon. Has anyone else had...
i know, I should be reading things a little better, but had a rough shift, dispatching to a lot of avoidable incidents, and now I'm transitioning to late turn. Thanks though!
Out of interest, what time did yours come? I just checked my e-mail, and scared myself. The notification e-mail for this thread reply came up, with Arriva Rail on it.....
Depends on what you class as "The Suburbs". I used to be a night bus driver, on a route that took 90 minutes to get from Marble Arch to the other side of Croydon, and one that took about an hour Liverpool Street-Mitcham. Very unreliable Thursday night to Sunday night due to drunks causing issues...
I know that FTPE currently have a batch of trainees going through the works, as I was chatting to a lovely young lady at York Station on Tuesday, and she showed my her books (sic), so that I knew what I was potentially getting myself into....
