When I took the picture on Saturday it was the first time that I had seen anything other than the bar codes that was been displayed on them.
It may be Virgin,s last laugh that they can,t get rid of the Virgin Logo and put in LNER instead, it also may be that they will never work as well as...
Above my seat yesterday on LNER the display was showing coming soon and Virgin Trains and was same on a few more, but most did say coming soon.
Virgins last laugh then over LNER ( they don,t get rid of this easy
When I visited Blackpool in the past and it was when the heating was on ( gents toilet rad was red hot ) and ventured on to the platform for some fresh air only to be told to get off as not allowed asked why its due to tanking trains and the hose pipes running across the platform. I do wonder...
A guard is a guard, driver is a driver, inspector is an inspector, trolley steward is a trolley steward.
I like this one especially the Trolley Steward, while on a X-Country train the guard / train manager said there will be an announcement next from the Catering Manager. He duly reported what...
Looks like they have run out of new LNER stickers when they got as far as Doncaster so the Virgin stuck on ones have had the Stanley knife treatment, in other words they have cut the bottom off with the words Virgin and we are now back to East Coast.
Wish they would get rid of them stupid red...
It will be nice to see stations with all the silly red advert, s removed and lets get back to running a professional train service for grown up people.
Whats a DPTF then ? as not everyone including me does not talks in initals, some people don,t know what they stand for. Please at least once tell us what a DPTF is, its the same as people talking about stations by the three letter codes we all don,t know what and where they are as not everyone...
With the end of Virgin on East Coast soon (in June) then we hopefully may get all there station cleared of all the Virgin poster crap removed. It didn,t do them a lot of good in fact it made them look childish to me and not look very professional.
Well there planes are not covered in silly stupid tack adverts like they have covered every station with. They are also not as good as they used to be in the past, its a business that you have a choice of airlines and routes to get to where you want to be.
Its about time Virgin East Coast dumped all the silly adverts and grew up and became an adult and then start running the service like adults and not children. How much did all the silly adverts on station cost to produce and to mount on the stations?
The next no trains Sunday in May has been pulled then because the new signalling is on hold, will there be any implications since this has not gone ahead with the new timetable changes (if any )in May. As it as supposed to be under York after Easter weekend so will it mess up the signallers...
Is it going to be another mini Great Western electrification saga? overspent and them usual word lessons will be learnt from this project.
Its now a good time for gardening so will somebody be going on gardening leave after this mess.
How much did 3 days of rail replacement cost as well as the...
What's happened to the new signalling between Hull and Gilberdyke?
It as supposed to be up and running after the 3 day Easter weekend shutdown.
Whose mess up was this the contractor or Network Rail and who will be paying for the mess up?
Yesterday I noticed there was quite a few East Coast sets running round with broken windows in the coaching stock, large coach windows with protective film over them and even a coach door window on a 225 set with a hole through it. Was this due to the cold weather or have the kids been...
I too agree that it either should go or be reduced to maybe one coach only on Virgin East Coast, as often in an evening if you look at the london trains there is hardly enough passengers for one coach.
Will be interesting if the on-board host,s went through the first class coaches looking at...
If when Virgin East Coast runs out of money or what ever happens and if the Government then give them a management contract to carry on running it till the end of the franchise or which ever is the sooner. I think as part of the management contract all reference to Virgin should be removed from...
If you looked at last weeks Hull Trains site up to about Thursday this week was to have been cancellation,s and bus / taxi journeys in various locations all week because more than 2 trains or something needed maintenance, but the day and service was saved by been able to hire another Grand...
