Trivia: Towns and villages only served with school buses and nothing else

The village where my Aunt lives, Ringstead in Norfolk did have a solitary bus timed for school hours but I don't think this runs anymore.

Class 139 - does it get turned around?

If they needed to turn them it would involve the use of a crane and or low loader as the 139's are not allowed on any other part of the NR infrastructure apart from the Stourbridge branch as far as I know.

Also between Tun Wells and Bopeep Jn. 8 coach trains is the max allowed due to 3rd rail limitations but (unless its changed) 12 cars can run with...

    Scottish Citylink

Just checked WCM website, 486 is running but can't tell you if explorer ticket is valid on this bus though. I have just remembered that I have a timetable booklet for Citylink (Summer 2019) that I got last year and it mentions the explorer pass and it says 'travel on any Citylink services plus...

Where do freight trains stop/ go through slowly (in London)?

Try Lewisham, as they will be going about 15/20 MPH through there. Also Hither Green as some stop for crew change there and the same with Clapham Junction. Some of the stations on the West London line can be a good bet especially if the freight is following a passenger train.

Empty stock taking the long route?

This is the booked route for 5O15, it's to keep it away from the St John's & Parks Bridge area which is very busy at the time this train would pass through if it ran direct.

Weather Disruption caused by storm Ciara (February 9th, 10th and 11th)

That happened this Morning at Chelsfield (between Sevenoaks & Orpington) I think it's NR that's got the date wrong.

    Working TT (Network Rail)

If previous years are anything to go by they won't be uploaded until after the timetable change kick's in, sometimes it several week's after. They don't always get the public eNRT published in time either.

Trains from St Mary Cray Junction to Chislehurst

It sounds like Chislehurst to Sevenoaks is shut on this particular Sunday which means the main line services will divert via Swanley & Otford. If that's the case The above trains will use the up loop as there will be a stopping service which terminates in the down slow plat at Chislehurst and...

Which GCR station is nearest ‘The North’?

If coming by car to the GCR then Quorn & Woodhouse is the best bet as there is no parking at Loughborough Central unless you want to take pot luck finding a space on nearby side roads.

    Steam at Mallaig

You are correct, it arrives in plat 1 runs round and then shunts to plat 2 where it can be shut in to clear the Arisaig-Mallaig section for the Scotrail service train. I think the same applies to the afternoon trip as well.

    Dartford Carriage siding appears non-electrified

It is to do with the walking route, its so that staff don't have to walk alongside a live conductor rail. If you look at the photos you can see the walkways either side of no 2 siding and as brad465 said its unacceptable considering there is a shortage of siding space for SE Trains.

The bus interchange at Orpington station is classed as a 'bus station' just 3 bays with minimal shelters & some parking bays for buses to wait between trips. There isn't anything for the drivers they have to use the station facilities if required.
