Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

It’s the same here in Lincoln, although the displays are there, buttons only feature at some major stops in the county as I think they are gradually being rolled out. 1760907471 Trent have always used a human voice, or should I say 5 human voices, depending on which depot the route is serving...

Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

If there is a generic name, I think Skylink team leader Michael will have recorded what's nearby, or say something like "We're now arriving at Sharpley Road Shops." He does this on Skylink Derby. 1760901869 I feel like too, we could introduce this legislation to roadside real time displays too...

Not to mention Trent's are running windows 10 on the aesys stuff.

Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

Grimsby have definitely uploaded their data to the buses. It either shows the next stop or does the welcome aboard scrolling message. You would think someone would go around plugging the USB into the HTCs to upload the data.

Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

Definitely seen aesys do it on Trentbarton. Every time we reached swallow drive on the mainline, the driver just entered the Nottingham trip on the ticketer and boom, does not need to touch the TC430 at all. IDK if it does it on the Eg4s on Skylink Derby and Red Arrow, one thing the Hanover eg4...

Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

EM still needs to get Lincoln Depot's announcements rolled out. The only ones that do it here are the 53 and 56. 1760639774 But that can be mitigated easily with a link to the ticketer, like Centrebus and Transdev have done. You log on, and the ticketer sends the command to the ICU602. Not to...

    New ScotRail Train Announcements

I think Televic is cloud based, so it would basically be insert the file into Televic GSP, and upload it to the train. Thameslink Matt does some videos on his TikTok on him managing the PIS systems. I think trainfx is the same, with only big updates requiring an SD card swap if they need to...

Must say, got the USB C (Even plug sockets) and the announcements are back after so many years without them since the removal of the INIT EvendPC2 machines, this time, James is the voice.

Speaking of red arrow, I did actually take the new Yutongs today. They are decent vehicles to ride.

I was there yesterday, and I can confirm, these are going to be good buses, the team lead James said they're good to drive with those new DAF engines. Seats comfy too with USB and even Plug Sockets. So far looking positive for the red arrow.

    New ScotRail Train Announcements

And that has gone down badly too. Diane Brooks has said that her voice has also been found on the buses without her knowing. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/scots-voiceover-artist-claims-edinburgh-35321206

Yeah, 170530 is also missing a table.

I think City transport might be in hot water too. It's likely they cloned the Supertram Yellow woman. The inflections give it away.

Just happened to be on 170501 from Doncaster to Lincoln. Really nice to be on it again considering it’s a massive improvement to the old LM interior it sported for many years.

That’s unfortunate. Hopefully everything gets sorted quickly, and also, have we found out which unit is next in line?

I took a ride this morning from Newark to Nottingham, and I must say, it is a big improvement from the old ones. The legroom is more generous, and charging points are now present finally!! Very satisfied with 501.
