Not running to time, a lot of North East folk moaning because it doesn't go into the bus station. Also hearing rumours about the 34 coming back, replacing the x37 to the retail park and on to Lochgelly/Ballingry, presumably replacing one of the 33s, freeing up a Dunfermline driver (they are...
In Northern Ireland, Bellarena was to the other side of a level crossing, with another platform and passing loop added. Derry's Waterside station was moved in the 80's, but might be moving back in the future.
Yes, the Prestwick link for transatlantic connections is understandable, but these flights were from Inchinnan/Renfrew. From what I gather, there was definately a Glasgow-Edinburgh-Aberdeen-Wick-Kirkwall-Sumburgh and Edinburgh-Glasgow-Benbecula-Stornoway. Suppose it made sense to only fly one...
I have always been amazed that in the 60's there were Glasgow-Edinburgh-Aberdeen flights. Does anyone have any more information on these, when did they finish?
I know they don't need to, but it does seem to happen more often on a Friday or Saturday evening than any other time. Too often, I think, to be a technical issue. Perhaps it's route learning?
Between cities, so not including places like Campbeltown, Isle of Man etc., Glasgow International-Belfast City is 100 miles. On the British mainland its probably Heathrow-Manchester.
Not the same piece of infrastructure, but there have been two stations on the site of the 1986 Bathgate station. Originally opened in 1849, closed some time later when a new station was opened nearby. Reopened in 1986, only to be closed in 2010 when a new Bathgate station opened.
If I bought a day return ticket for an outward service departing at 0001 Monday morning, would my ticket be valid until 0429 on Monday (same day) or Tuesday?
Since I'll still be a student when I turn 30, this won't make any odds to me, but what would be the difference between the 26-30 and 16-25? Less discount I guess, 25% maybe?
Not in my experience. There are certainly many tourists on the line, but whenever I've been onboard there are always some locals, usually on a day or overnight trip to Inverness.
I've walked a few times to Pittodrie from Aberdeen Station and it never seems that far to walk, although there are a few stops for refreshments on the way .
As I mentioned before, Dundee, Dundee United and St Johnstone are a long walk from the station. McDiarmid is over 2 miles from...
Is there a legal minimum break/rest period? For example, there are quite strict laws over HGV driver hours such as daily, weekly and fortnightly limits behind the wheel and minumum daily and weekly rest and break periods?
No, she was probably right, though I'm not sure of the actual ranking. Aluminium burns in air, but only in finer forms, such as powders. Many other metals, such as Iron, have similar properties. It's all down to particle size and collision theory.
