Try having to use the Blackpool North trains at varing times throughout a week before making comments.
It is an absolute shambles. The one hour frequency sometimes becoming three hourly after short notice cancelations. Four coach multipule units being on training duties when the passenger...
I have just returned from the UK, actually, Blackpool and Manchester and have had the misfortune to have used the one train per hour between Blackpool North and Manchester Airport on several occasions. To put it mildly, it is a shambles and is having knock on effects of inconveniencing...
The demise of the first departure would appear to be a load of rubbish.
The first arrival was the 07.03 from MIA and the first departure the 07.17 to Oxford Road. (per liverail/charlwoodhouse.co.uk)
Platform 3 was used.
Try looking at a through journey which is either routed via Preston or requires a change there. Up to an hour ago what you state was NOT the case.
Already the locals are complaining that they expected a full service back from Monday next. Why has this only come to light a few days before...

Just having to rework my journeys for next week and...

The problem is that they have chopped and keep chopping the bus services in the area.. There may be a modern bus station at Oldham and they are rebuilding the one at Ashton again, but if you don't have bus services for the people to use, what is the point?
It is an attack on public transport by...
Ah, Paul, you refer to the former Tameside Council Offices renamed by my son as "the monster sausage tree" forty years ago. Besides Council offices, a public combined service centre/ Job Center Plus and a new Wilko store, part of the new buildings are to house Tameside College, which is to...

So another rail contractor in trouble. Where has all the money gone?
...and no thought regarding immediate impact or logic applied.
His article is a cop out. He has interferred in the North by cancelation of electrification projects and offered so called solutions which are still in their infancy of the development stage and no orders for the additional rolling...
