It’s always worth applying but you must be honest because if they found out you were dishonest they’ll throw the book at you. Like I said, apply and see what comes of it
I hate to mention this but I have passed my psychometric assessment with SWR and they do not take you if you have had eye surgery. That’s one of the first things they’ll bring up with you
Hi
i have read their policy and it does say they will not take applicants who have had eye surgery nor anyone with a BMI over 28. You must not have diabetes or any problems with the lungs or heart. You must be very fit. Hope this helps
I am now just awaiting my medical. Does anyone know whereabouts the medical takes place and how long it takes? I rang a couple Of weeks a go and spoke to someone in the HR department to find out hw I did at the interview because 3 months went by and heard nothing but was expected due to...
Hi there,
it’s been a while but thought I’d send a quick message to say I am now awaiting a medical assessment. I feel things are really looking up and can’t wait to start training. When that will be I’m not sure. But I am all prepared and ready to start.
Have you heard back yet? Did you...
My guess is, I think, that before any training can resume, there needs to be a risk assessment done so the company can work out a plan to try and get people back into training as safely as possible. I know a lot of managers have their work cut out at the moment trying to comply with new...
Hi I have spoken to a member of the HR team and last week was the first week they’ve managed to return to work. Obviously the workload is going to be huge and prob piled up but they will work through what they can and try to get things moving. I would say your probably looking at Jul/August...
My advice would be research the company well. The questions are pretty straight forward competency based. The panel made me feel very relaxed and was able to be myself on the day. No pressure. Although not heard back yet from my interview but that’s down to the covid 19 and has held...
I’m happy to wait and be patient because all good things come to those who wait. Whether the interview was successful or unsuccessful, it was a good experience.
Yes it is a talent pool but choosing their potential successful candidates carefully and on standby. They could train either end of the month, maybe 6 months or could be a year down the line. But once GBRF get the go ahead I’m sure it would happen very quickly. Be ready
I think it went well but not heard anything yet but fingers crossed. In fact it lasted almost 2 hours. Looking forward to starting and ready to start training. I shall be positive but will not get my hopes up. Will keep you posted once I hear anything
Thanks for your reply. You say classroom training is for 4 months am I right in saying because I’m sure I read it somewhere on here they pay for you to stay in a hotel and home weekends or am I wrong
Hi I have my interview this Friday in London to be placed up in Stockport. I’m very nervous and just wanted to know what questions they are likely to ask. They wanted me to have interview last week but I said too short notice so they booked me in this week. So hopefully see you guys soon on...
Hi I’m new on here and Andrea emailed me to invite me to interview in Birmingham this Friday 6/3/20 but not given me the address to go to. This is for the trainee train driver for GBRF. if successful, how long is the training for? And what questions are they likely to ask at interview?
Thanks I have interview this week which is my first interview but not sure which one. Hopefully I’ll pass and move onto the next stage. I passed the assessment first time so I don’t have to do that again. They did say the next school intake would be January which I’m really looking forward...
