Visited North and South Island in 1991 - visiting relatives, but drove around the South Island so will have to return again to experience it by Rail!

Correct! A nice spot for a bit of Whale Watching on New Zealands South Island East Coast. The Coastal Pacific Train between Picton and Christchurch - one for the bucket list! Over to you.

Ah - on second inspection in the photo it does look like a ramp rather than stairs.

I had an idea the station was somewhere on the route between Beppu and Kumamoto (JR Kyushu).The clue narrowed it down although on Google Maps I couldn't see the Exit in the pic that has stairs down to (I assume) an under platform tunnel. But thought it would be worth a punt as the station is...

Correct! It is Arashiyama - and I never found the footbath either. The art installation Kimono Forest was nice. Over to you.

Another Clue: The station includes a foot bath, a garden featuring cherry and maple trees, a shopping arcade, outdoor eating areas and an Art Installation.

This Station is in Kyoto - but it's not actually Kyoto Station.
