Despite living near Retford, I'm yet to see the new livery and would like to get a good photo before it goes

Went recently from Lincoln-Wrexham and it seemed to be much cheaper travelling via Derby & Crewe - I split ticket at Uttoxeter. Did involve changing at Nottingham, Derby, Crewe and Chester though!

And on the freight-only branch to Cottam - they are quick to state no passenger services have been effected, so that travelling public are not inconvenienced. It's really quite round there with just the power station and the River Trent beyond.

It's a remote spot - Police stations at Retford/Gainsborough only offer a skeleton service these days and are not open 24/7. Almost 20 miles to nearest large police presence at Worksop/Lincoln

Class 57 waiting at Penzance Depot

Anyone know what was on this? Saw what looked like a 37 from a distance on the rear. A few disgruntled people looking to photograph the A4, but this had been announced on UK Steam a few days in advance (and before huge downpours on Friday evening!)

I went to a concert at Delamere last year and camped at a site close to the station. Walking away from the concert towards the car parks and station, I saw what must have been the last train go past, and ten minutes later at the station quite a lot of confused people querying where the last...
