Both Northern and FTPE use OPC to carry out the testing. The rules are:
If you fail any aspect of the test, you cannot sit the test again for 6 months.
You may only fail the test twice.
If you have passed the tests, then there is nothing stopping you applying for another TOC/FOC within...
Once you have saved it to your PC as a blank document, if you double click in the small box, it will open a window to insert a symbol. Pick the one you want, click insert then close.
This worked for me. Hope it helps.
It does say if you do not meet the criteria your application would not be accepted. With the likely competiton I'm afraid to say it is very unlikely as it is a minimum criteria.
Blimey, and I thought I was bad lol Patience Journeyman hahahaha. They said to me they were interviewing up until the end of next week. They did say that some slots for Medicals were already booked in, so to be ready to get the call for that. However, the course dates were originally planned for...
Seems to be right. Drs are doing the same thing. You will also probably find that your salary increases incrementally over this period too and that you most likely won't get the full basic once you finish your initial training and become productive. I think they have all been burnt by people...
No harm in asking. What's the worst they could say? No. Have you thought about contacting the Legion or going back to your resettlement team from the army and see if they could help somehow? I know the Legion are really helpful.
I wouldn't give up hope just yet. With the volume of applicants, I would expect letters to be received over a couple of days, as simply getting them all out in one go and Royal Mail delivering them all on the same day are nigh on impossible. I could be wrong, but makes sense to me.
Interview done, now the agonising wait. Good luck to everyone else and fingers crossed. Have to say, DRS's HR have been fab through this. The whole recruitment has moved along swiftly and have kept everyone up to speed. Kudos.
I think this is so refreshing that the relevant hr department for a vacancy is willing to occasionally post answers to questions appearing here. Apart from helping candidates it must save them a lot of time with repetitive phone calls and emails. Well done freightliner hr.
Lol. I have applied for a few. I am pursuing a career change and with the length of the recruitment and competition for every job, I am simply not putting my eggs in one basket. I bet I'm not the only one either lol
I contacted HR yesterday to simply ask how we would be contacted. They said it could be any or all methods, but the crucial thing was that they would be sending it out. With the Manager who did the interviews currently on leave until end of next week, I think it will now be the week after before...
Aye, that's what I was told. The girl interviewing ( I do know her name just not broadcasting it), said she was going on leave for two weeks, so was going to make a decision either Thursday or Friday last week. I am hoping that she has and it is now HR that will deal with it. But the start date...
Where was it for? I had one for Lime Street just over a week ago. Was told decision was going to be made last Thursday or Friday. Not sure if they are emailing or notifying by post. Either way, should find out by end of this week really. Hopefully.
It is just the way it is I'm afraid. If you search the forum re: Freightliner vacancies, you will the earlier posts in the threads littered with people having the same difficulties. Just grin and bare it I'm afraid. Plenty of coffee and 4 x more time set aside then you thought to do the online...
As GB said, you will get a definitive answer from the FOC/TOC concerned. However, the general rule of thumb, is that you are not allowed to take an assessment if you have already taken one within the 6 months previous. If you have passed the psychometrics, it it usually valid for up to 5 years...
