I didn't realise that Network Rail were doing a study to re-instate Firsby to Louth with a connection to Mablethorpe.
There doesn't seem to be any information about this in the public domain.
I don't think West Burton is operational at the moment as I am in Lincoln &
can see it across the valley. It doesn't actually look to be generating at the
moment.I assume it's just on stand by.With the price of gas shooting up
it may soon be cheaper to burn imported coal !
Ratcliffe has 5/6 paths a day from Immingham at the moment of which up to 4 normally run.
I don't think West Burton is on line at the moment .It doesn't seem to have had any coal
paths activated lately.

Until fairly recently coal trains form the Barrow Hill direction used the platform to run round before
heading to Cottam or West Burton power stations.I don't think there has been coal in that direction
